Aganang Community Radio Station is situated in
Potchefstroom (Dr Kenneth Kaunda District
Municipality), it was established in 2003 and
registered later as a non-profit organization
(044 231 NPO) under section 21 Act 71 of 1997.
Aganang community radio was granted a
broadcasting licence by ICASA (Independent
communications authority of South Africa) in
2007.This youth-driven initiative is not only
concentrating in the provision of broadcasting
services, but also in addressing socio-economic
challenges that are facing the community of
Potchefstroom and the surrounding areas.
FORMAT
Aganang fm 90.0 MHz is a full spectrum radio
station that plays almost all types of music
with 60 % talk and 40 % music. News every hour
from 6 am to 6 pm weekdays followed by current
affairs for an hour and 6 times on week-ends
from 7 am to 6 am.
